Shaken Trust

God Will Restore Your Broken Trust

Have you found yourself struggling with trust issues?  Is this an area in your life that you find you struggle with often?  My friend, know you are not alone. Many people are affected by this very subject.

Below are some leading causes most people can relate to.

  • Spiritually

This can be seen through unexpected health issues such as cancer, heart issues, Alzheimer’s, war injuries, car accidents, PTSD, and many other areas as well.  These are areas which cause people to question, “Why God did You allow this to happen? Why can’t You heal this person from this?  You have the power to change this and make it better.”  My Friend, if you find yourself having experienced one or more of these you can find yourself shaken to your very core.  Any one of these can make or break your trust and leave you broken, but hold strong and trust that God knows of every one of these circumstances and will give you the  strength to get through and will restore your trust in the end.

  • Marriage Relationships   Are you married and thought you would be for the rest of your Designlives when something goes wrong whether it be all of a sudden or something becomes broken over time and you find yourself alone now?  This can be a difficult situation to find yourself in and can be very damaging to future relationships, but it is possible to get through. Although trust may be broken for a variety of reasons it doesn’t mean your life will end there.  My friend, pour your heart out to God, share with him your deepest darkest hurts and let Him touch your fragile and broken heart.  Ask Him to help you heal from the broken trust issues so you can move on with your life.  He is waiting to hear from you.

  • Parental Relationships   Do you have a parent you have struggled with most of your life?  You hoped for the unconditional love and trust most of your life but just came up short for a variety of reasons every time?  This can be damaging to  your trust level because we all know, if you can’t trust your parent, who can you Designtrust?  This may have weight and merit, but it doesn’t have to be a truth for the rest of your life.  My friend, once you learn you can trust others there can be healing again.  God can restore your faith and trust in either your parents or He can place a person in your life who will fill that role for you. Family isn’t always about the blood you share.  Family is about that person who loved you enough to give you the unconditional love a family member provides.  Wait my friend, God has a special blessing in store for you while you heal.  It will be worth the wait.  God has a mighty blessing in store for you.

  • Friend Relationships   Damaged friendships can leave you feeling crushed and broken because you trusted them with your emotions.  You think there is no way you will let anyone else back into your life.  You will not allow yourself to be vulnerable to anyone again.  Your trust for future friendships will remain guarded and you will never fully trust your feelings with anyone.  My friend, if this is you, trust God to replace that damaged friendship with one you truly deserve.  This may take time, but trusting God to find that replacement will be worth the healing time in the middle and you will be blessed with a special friend at the end of that broken and damaged road.

Have you been at a company or business for many years, learned to trust those around you to have your back and to take care of your needs as you take care of theirs, but find one day everything has gone wrong?  Whether there be a shake up in leadership or a change of a boss, your trust is broken because their loyalty has shifted.  This leaves you shaken and off guard, then one day you go to work to find they no longer need you.  Your trust is shattered into a million tiny pieces and you go home empty, broken and weary. This can be very damaging, but my friend, if this is you, God can put all those pieces together again if you only choose to trust Him.  Let Him guide you down a new road and into a new job.  It may not be ideal to you at the time, but trust God has a plan and go with it for now.

Have you found yourself struggling deeply with finances, whether they are due to a loss of a job, under paid, leave without pay, unexpected bills become extreme and you weren’t prepared for them and they consumed you? Many times in our lives we think we are trudging along through life and everything is going ok. You go about your day without a question something could change at the blink of an eye and leave you questioning what just happened.  My friend, God knows these challenges.  I know this is a scary place to be and you question if you will lose everything,  how will you get through the end of the pay cycle?  Where is the next paycheck coming from?  How will you pay your rent or mortgage?  How will you put food on the table to feed your family?  This can seriously challenge the trust you have either in each other or even in God when you just can’t get the money to stretch thin enough.  My friend, God has this!! He is making a way even when you can’t see it.  Have faith and trust in the unknown variables God is working out for you.  I know this can be so hard when you can’t see it, but just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there.  Once God provides a plan He will bless you by restoring your trust again.  Be patient my friend as you travel down this hard road.  No matter how long it may be, there is an end.  It could be only a matter of days or it could be months. In some of my own struggles it could even be years, but trust me friend, no matter how long it is, God has this problem or crisis already figured out.  Lean on Him every second of every day.

I am going to leave you with a simple but powerful bible verse to cling to while you are going through difficult time like these.

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3 (NIV)

God knows your every fear, need, and concern. Be strong in Him and let Him guide you. He knows the plan.  He knows the road you are on and  where the end of it is. Do not be afraid.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

Hugs Friend, you have this!!  You can do this!!!  God will heal you from your experiences and can restore your trust in Him and in humanity again, but don’t forget to examine the circumstances you have gone through and use them as a tool to grow from.  God often allows us to walk down difficult roads and go through challenging trials to teach us something we need to learn.  Allow that lesson to be learned so you can draw closer to Him.
