Today’s Encouragement is coming through the form of “hope“.
Is your life so busy you no longer are able to enjoy it? Is there struggle and strife in a relationship with your spouse, children, or extended family members? Are financial struggles beating you up to the point where you want to quit and just give up? Is there an overall feeling of darkness all around and you are no longer able to see the hope for a brighter future?
My special friend, through your darkness I can promise you a hope, that in this world may seem unattainable, but I can say with the utmost assurance, it exists. It exists through God Himself. You need to lean on Him and allow His strength to permeate through the darkness that surrounds you.
“My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.” Psalm 119:50 NIV
God is with you to celebrate your greatest joys as well as holding you through your greatest weaknesses. He promises a hope that no one else can offer when all seems hopeless.
“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” PS 55:22 NIV
Your challenge today is to not focus on the struggles and the strife you are battling within, but to look outside (which is not easy to do) and find a peace from around you. Look for the simple blessings and hold them dear to your heart.
Try looking for a blessing that is waiting to be seen and felt.
There are many way to experience this, you only have to be willing to open your heart to see and feel them.
Try going outside and feel the gentle fresh spring breeze blowing across your face and feel the sun shining in your eyes.
As you drive down the road try looking out across an open field and look for the blossoming trees and see the fresh new color of yellows and purples blanketing the fields.
These are blessings that can hold a sense of freshness and shout the joys of a new beginning.
How about this one, try opening your heart to hear the laughter of a child playing or taking the time to see a gentle smile on the face of a loved one. There is something healing about the sounds of joy or the simplicity of a gentle smile.
While you are trapped in a world of darkness, these simple blessings fade away from life, but I am here to remind you today, they are still out there.
Today’s challenge is to open your heart and experience them again.
Feel free to leave a comment below if you have been encouraged by a blessing today that has renewed your hope for a brighter future.
I find when I can share these special moments they take on even greater meaning in my life. I would love to share in your encouraging moment as well.
Lastly, remember, just as God created the seasons of the year, we experience similar seasons within our lives. Sometimes as we struggle to get through the season with winter, we forget this doesn’t last forever. Just as God created the season of spring to bring everything back to life, He does the same within our own lives. Allow for the fresh renewal to take bloom and rejoice in the freshness of the beauty as it comes back again.
