Today’s Encouragement comes from this inspiring quote.
“Start over, my darling. Be brave enough to find the life you want and courageous enough to chase it. Then start over and love yourself the way you were always meant to.” Madalyn Beck
It takes courage, strength and bravery to go after what your heart truly wants in life. Especially if it goes against everything you believe to be right in the eyes of everyone around you.
How many people live their lives according to what they know or how they were raised. Have you seen and heard things you do not agree with, but are too afraid to rise up against them? Do you say to yourself, “No, not me. I am not going to live my life like this. I want something different.”
My Friend today’s encouragement is to inspire you with these words.
- You are uniquely made by God.
- You are your own individual.
- You are “You”.
- You are beautiful or handsome.
- You are intelligent.
- You are wise.
- You are strong.
- You are brave.
God has a purpose for you and it may not look like what others believe to be true. He may be using your life to change the lives of those around you. Those who may not have been brave enough or courageous enough to break the mold of “normal” for themselves and to venture out to do greater and bigger things.
He may be using you to change the lives of people you have never met.
The decisions you make can be decisions that will lead you down the same traditional road as others before you, or they may be leading you down roads that may look unfamiliar. No matter where the road takes you, it is my prayer you will be brave enough, stand strong enough and be courageous enough to follow the dream that makes you truly happy.
Life is too short to not be happy especially if that unhappiness comes at the expense of living in bondage.
- The bondage of the past.
- The bondage of living up to other people’s expectations.
- The bondage of keeping the peace, even to the point of loosing your own.
- The bondage of make others happy at the expense of your own.
- The bondage of tradition.
My friend, bondage is a harsh word, but it is chosen with a purpose. It is chosen to show how much strength it will take to break away from all of these situations and circumstances that have come to be known as “normal”.
It will take being strong, brave, and courageous to move against this “norm” while venturing out on you own to live the life you wish for yourself.
My friend, this is only possible if you do it in a healthy manner and according to God’s will. Be seeking His face in the decisions you make and work according to the direction He has for you. Ask Him to clarify the timing, space, and words to confront those who may not be as receptive to your plans. Only does He know when their hearts will be prepared for you.
My sweet friend, I wish I could give reassurance this will be an easy road, but unfortunately, more times than not, it is difficult. Walk bravely, strongly and courageously and it will all come together in the end.
Once your journey is complete you will be rewarded with the satisfaction of knowing everything you went through was worth it and you will have learned many new and exciting things about yourself thus making the hardship all the more rewarding and complete.
