My mission is to provide you with inspiration and encouragement to live everyday to it's fullest. I do this by sharing the simple things in life such as recipes to the most difficult of things such a life. We all know life is a struggle and many days a balancing act, but I am here to inspire you to do it well. Everything I write about is designed to inspire as well as encourage you to be a "better" you that you can be. Everything I share is raw and real. I do not cover up or sugar coat what I write about. This would benefit no one. My goal is for you to walk away feeling uplifted and encouraged after leaving my page. Lastly, I am here to remind you that you are… enough and beautiful… just the way you are.
Today is to encourage you to think about how your actions affect others around you and to show compassion to everyone you come in contact with.

I read an article recently about how we should show compassion to others because we never know what others are going through and it truly touched my heart because there is truth to this statement.
There is heartache at ever turn and can be found in the form of grief for the loss of a loved one, anxiety over the loss of a job or something important to you, or a concern over the health issues of a dear friend or family member.
Today’s challenge is to show compassion to everyone you come in contact with because you never know who is in pain while masking it in the disguise of a smile. Not everyone shows their true feelings for all to see, but it does not mean they do not have them. It just means they are good at hiding behind the mask of their disguise.
My Friend, if we all take the time to show compassion to everyone, than it will not matter if we know if they are in pain or not, our compassion will touch and affect their hearts anyway.
I am a wife, mom, and daughter. I have served in the United States Army, gone to college, and received a Batchelor's Degree in Criminology. I married my husband when he was on active duty in the United States Army so I have the unique knowledge of what it is like to be on both sides of a Military uniform. I have been a wife for a lot longer than when I was in the Army.
While we were stationed in Germany, my daughter, who is 23 years old now was born and I chose to put my career on hold to be a mom and eventually a homeschool mom.
The past 15 years have been wrought with many struggles for various reasons, but it is as a result of those struggles that this blog has come about.
As the years passed and the struggle kept coming, I would say to God, "I'm not sure why we have to go through all of this, but if we have to God, then allow my story to serve as a means of encouragement to others so all this pain isn't for nothing."
Well, the years passed but the struggles never went away. I feel now is the time God wants me to begin sharing my story. It is my prayer as I share my heart that it will serve as a healing opportunity for you, my readers. Know you are not alone. There are hope and encouragement that waits.
