“Where’s The Line To See Jesus”

“Where’s The Line To See Jesus” – Becky Kelley

I am sharing one of my favorite Christmas songs with you today. Click on the link in the above image to listen to this beautiful song.

This is one that touches my heart year after year. It is also one that seems to be overlooked, but I don’t know why.

Where’s the line to see Jesus?

Is He here at the store?

If Christmas time is His birthday,

Why don’t we see Him more?

Lyrics excerpt from Becky Kelley’s song, “Where’s The Line To See Jesus”

As many of us grow more tired and weary from the hustle and bustle of this very busy season, I want to encourage you to take a moment to warm your tired and weary heart with the sweet lyrics to this Christmas song.

I also want to inspire you to take a moment to sit back and breathe. Enjoy the twinkling lights, the soft sounds, and the sweet smells of the season that you brought to life for your family and friends.

Lastly, I want to remind that it is ok to take a moment to open your heart, and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you.

May you find a sense of peace and joy in the few days left of the Christmas season.

Bringing Simplicity Back To Christmas

Christmas Encouragement

Today’s inspiration is coming to you via the “Sounds of the Season”.

Check out this amazingly beautiful song brought to you by Pentatonix – Where are you, Christmas?

As I was preparing my recipe for today, this popped up on my computer. I was inspired by its beauty. It is hard to believe the sounds of this beautiful song comes from the harmonizing of this group. No instrumentation is required for them to bring the sound of this to life.

I hope you enjoy it as well.

I am feeling led to share some encouraging sounds of Christmas this year. I feel by bringing back some of the simple things of Christmas helps to bring back the simplicity of the Holiday Season.

I for one, know how important this is to me this year. I only have my Christmas decorations up but have not done anything else yet. I haven’t even started shopping, this is how far behind I am. I am choosing to not look at the calendar to see how close we are to Christmas. I am trying, with every ounce of strength I have, to not stress over everything I have not done yet.

I find, if I can cling to some of the simple things of the holiday, it will help to keep me from stressing over everything I have not done.

If you find yourself where I am right now, my suggestion to you is a simple one. Just breathe! We will get through the craziness of the holiday while hoping to save the magic of the season.

Merry Christmas, My Friend!!

Hope Gives You Strength When You Can Not See It

Christmas Encouragement

Credits to for the beautiful image and encouraging reminder today.

Today’s Christmas Encouragement was inspired by this beautiful Christmas song, “Strange Way To Save The World, by 4Him”

I was quietly working on my business this morning and decided to play Pandora in the background and this beautiful song, which I had not heard before, came on.

It was so peaceful and a breath of fresh air from all the traditional music, which do not get me wrong, I love all the music of the Season, but there was something calming about this one.

I am going to post it today as your Christmas Encouragement and let you decide for yourself if it is or not. Feel free to leave your comments below if you like it or you do not.

The song is this… Strange Way to Save The World by 4Him.

I hope it touches your heart as it did mine.

Have a Merry and Bright Week!

Beach Waves

I am popping in after a very long week. I am so thankful the end of the week is upon us and when I awake in the morning we have no where to be.

I am sorry for not posting anything all week. It has been a week of late nights and early mornings and busy days in between.

I am a proud momma and happy to announce that my Kiddo is now officially enrolled in college full time. This was not something she was prepared to do yet because we still have to figure out how to manage and maintain her chronic migraines, but in order to keep our health insurance, it was necessary.

She is such a trooper in all she does and goes through. To see her struggle like she does, but doesn’t give up just impresses me beyond words.

She still has a few more hurdles to jump through, but to have accomplished all she did this week makes this momma a very proud one.

So as we close out the week I am going to leave you with a thirty-second clip of some peace and tranquility (in case you are in need of some like we were).

It is my hope that you had a wonderful week, but in case you did not, maybe this will brighten your night some.

Just Be Held

20170329_164542629_iOSAs I was researching this morning I stumbled on this song Casting Crowns – Just Be Held but I did not apply to what I was researching, however, I felt God tugging at my heart to post it anyway.

I know He intends to use this to encourage someone and if you are the one, I hope it provides the comfort you are in need of at this moment.

Hugs to you, my hurting friend.

Pain seems to be all around, but remember you do not have to allow it to consume you. Stand tall and know your God is bigger than anything going on in your life.

Lastly, remember you are…

  • beautiful
  • caring
  • loving
  • kind
  • compassionate
  • thoughtful
  • spirited
  • wise
  • loyal
  • and…. You are ENOUGH!!!!!!!!

When Words Are Few

Christmas Encouragement

945AFF50-C65C-47EB-B7A9-5BC5B22F8066When words are few sometimes the ones spoken hold the most meaning.

Today’s words are few, but I pray they are packed with a powerful message.

Today’s encouragement is going to come via a Christmas song.

The Joy of Christmas

Christmas Encouragement

6216B168-A62C-45C2-A05B-DDBEA353D6C9A precious baby boy was born and changed the world forever.

Imagine the “joy” Mary must have felt in her heart when she held her baby boy in her arms for the first time. The joy a mother feels after carrying a baby for 9 months is a joy the runs deeply in your heart. It is an emotion that is hard to stifle as it is an emotion which is inspired by God.

Now, take that same “joy” to a new level. One where Mary knew her baby was not just her bundle of joy, but one who would be so special that He would change and save the world.

This song is an amazing and worth listening to today.

Mary, Did You Know? – Pentatonix, Official Video

No pressure, I’m just saying…  Wow, I can’t imagine what she was feeling the day Jesus was born.

Take some time to think about how joyous this would have been some 2,000 years ago when Mary gave birth to Baby Jesus. This joy changed the world. Now allow it to change your day and your Christmas season this year.

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭NIV

My Friend, remain joyous today.

Recovering From A Difficult Week

Encouragement Today

Are you waking up feeling overwhelmed by your week or by events going on in your life? Embrace today as a day of recovery.

Take time out today my friend to regroup your thoughts. Ask God to clear your mind of everything that is overwhelming to you. Ask Him to help you refocus your thoughts on Him for today. He has your burdens already. He knows the outcome to all of them. We just have to learn to give them back to Him and free ourselves of that bondage.

Today is a good day to simply breathe.

Take back your thoughts. Take back your emotions. Take back your feelings. Take back your life. Take back all that has been held captive by your busyness, chaos, grief, and stress.

Below are some ideas to recapture the inner you:

  • Is there a chore you have been wanting to tackle that is weighing heavy on you but you put if off for another day, tackle it if it is going to make you feel good when it is done? DO IT!
  • Have you been wanting to go for a walk, just you alone with your headphones and some praise and worship music? DO IT!
  • Do you want to walk along the beach and have the wind just blow through your hair? DO IT!
  • Do you want to build something or create something? DO IT!
  • Do you want to curl up on the couch and read a book you have put on the back burner? DO IT!

My friend, life may be difficult at best, but don’t loose hope that God has a brighter future ahead. He is molding you, refining you, and preparing you with the strength you will need for the future. Don’t look down upon this experience as He has everything in your life completely prepared in advance. He loves you. He isn’t purposely allowing you to hurt because He loves you even more than you can possibly imagine. Trust in Him and give Him your all, your everything.

“Yes, my soul, find rest in GOD; my hope comes from Him.”  Ps 62:5

Here is an amazing song that will provide encouragement to jump start your day of healing. I turned on my Pandora this morning while making pancakes for my family and this was playing first thing. It was an encouragement to me and I hope it is to you as well.

Kari Jobe/You Steady My Heart (My link isn’t working again, but if you type this song into YouTube it will come up). I included the lyrics below because they are that powerful.

Steady My Heart ~ Lyrics

Kari Jobe

Wish it could be easy
Why is life so messy?
Why is pain a part of us?
There are days I feel like
Nothing ever goes right

Sometimes it just hurts so much

But You’re here
You’re real
I know I can trust You

Even when it hurts
Even when it’s hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
‘Cause I know that You are

Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady my heart
You steady my heart

I’m not gonna worry
I know that You’ve got me
Right inside the palm of your hand
Each and every moment
What’s good and what gets broken
Happens just the way You plan

You are here
You’re real
I know I can trust You

Even when it hurts
Even when it’s hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
‘Cause I know that You are
Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady

The Long Journey Home

Are You Walking Along A Dark Valley Road

God Has A Flashlight If You Will Let Him Shine The Way Out

Have you been walking around in a dark valley in search of something  you feel  you lost?

For the God who was once by your side, but have lost site of Him and feel He has abandoned you?

Friend, He has not abandoned you.  He has been there all along.  He never left your side.  He has guided you through your valley and is calling you back.

That tug on your heart you have been ignoring is the voice of God calling you to go to Him and let Him be the light you need to find your way out.

Listen, hear, and take that small step forward and let His light shine brightly to guide you from your valley back to your life again.

I write this because I am walking the same dark journey as you are.

I know how dark and lonely that valley road is. I am trying to follow the light back to my life now.

Do you want to join me and travel along the same road using the same light?

 We can do this together.

Let this song touch your heart as it did mine.

I included the lyrics as well as a link below to the video.

Let the words God is sharing open your heart and allow the healing to begin.

“Do It Again” By Steven Furtick and Andrew Coates

Walking around these walls
I thought by now they’d fall
But You have never failed me yet
Waiting for change to come
Knowing the battle’s won
For You have never failed me yet

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You’ve never failed me yet

I know the night won’t last
Your Word will come to pass
My heart will sing Your praise again
Jesus You’re still enough
Keep me within Your love
My heart will sing Your praise again

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed me yet

I’ve seen You move, You move the mountains
And I believe, I’ll see You do it again
You made a way, where there was no way
And I believe, I’ll see You do it again

I’ll see You do it again

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed me yet

And You never failed me yet
I never will forget
You never failed me yet
I never will forget

Are You Weak Today

Are You Seeking Strength Today?

My friend God is waiting for you to go to Him so He can give you exactly what you are looking for.

img_1273As I was getting up this morning to start yet but another day this simple but yet powerful verse came to me. It is an old one but none-the-less powerful one if you are seeking a need for strength to get through the day.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NKJV‬

Today I am going share a worship video from  Chris Tomlin – Our God that has provided me with so much strength and encouragement for those times I was and when I am still weak and find I am  in need of a physical calling from God.

This is my go to video when I am at a cross roads of decisions to make and I just am feeling alone and find myself questioning if God is really still listening to me.

This is still that song when I may be feel desperate and discouraged and find when I am driving down the road in deep thought about my circumstances this song will come on the radio and I know this is My God speaking to me, reminding me, “Child, you are mine and I am still here for you. I have not forsaken you or abandoned you. I will get you through this trial. Hang in there… Walk with me…  You are not alone.”

It is my hope, prayer, and desire for you today, my friend, that you will be encouraged by it as well.  God is telling you the same thing. He has you. He is walking with you. He  hasn’t forsaken or forgotten you. It is His promise to us even when we can’t see it for all the fog of life’s trials in the way.
